Terms of use

The open beta

TrackGuess is a free music game, in a testing phase and open to anyone who complies with these terms. Features may change, become unavailable or be removed, and the beta may be shut down. Whenever possible, we will give advance notice.

There are no charges, ads or sponsorships during the beta.

Your account

• You must be 18 years of age or older.
• Provide truthful information and an email address that is your own, and keep your password confidential.
• Your account is personal: do not share, sell or transfer it.
• You are responsible for everything done with your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password and end your other sessions in Settings.

Rules of conduct

To keep matches fair and the environment pleasant, you may not:

• use bots, scripts, extensions or any automation to answer, or exploit bugs to gain an advantage;
• attempt to access other people's accounts, rooms or data, overload the service or circumvent usage limits and security measures;
• use a username, display name, avatar or playlist name that is offensive, discriminatory, misleading or that infringes the rights of third parties;
• harass or threaten others, or impersonate another person.

Music and third-party content

The 30-second previews, cover art and song data are provided by Deezer and loaded by your browser directly from Deezer. TrackGuess does not host, download or distribute the tracks, whose rights belong to their respective rights holders.

Previews are up to 30 seconds long and their use is strictly private and personal: only for playing, within TrackGuess, without recording, downloading or redistributing them. A song may become unavailable at any time, at the discretion of the provider or the rights holders.

What you create

Your avatar, names and playlists remain yours, and you warrant that you have the right to use them. So that we can display them in the game, you grant us a free, non-exclusive permission limited to the operation of the service, which ends when you delete the content or your account.

We may remove content that violates these terms.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or put other people or the service at risk. You can delete your account whenever you want, in Settings; what happens to your data is described in the privacy policy.

Warranties and liability

Because this is a free test, the service is provided as is, with no guarantee of continuous availability, error-free operation or preservation of scores and history. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that the law grants you.

Privacy

The processing of your personal data is governed by the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

Changes to the terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect, and you may be asked to accept them again. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of your place of residence.

Language of these terms

These terms are available in Portuguese, English and Spanish. The translations are provided for convenience; if they differ, the Portuguese version prevails.
